1. Monitors pre-established calendar for manager and/or staff; ensures minimal conflict with other plans.                  
2. Controls and organizes manager’s calendar (e.g., determining who may receive appointments and when).                  
3. Schedules training classes for others, assigning rooms and times to specific courses.                  
4. Schedules meetings involving internal and external participants (less than 25 people) at an on-site location and arranges appropriate equipment and services.                  
5. Arranges logistics for meetings involving internal and external participants (25-50 people) on- or off-site, securing appropriate location, equipment, and services, considering costs and quality.                  
6. Arranges logistics for large meetings involving more than 50 attendees off-site or large, on-site meetings involving internal and external participants (e.g., clients, customers, or the public) securing appropriate location, equipment, and services considering costs and quality.                  
7. Arranges logistics for major community or professional events that may span several days and are attended by large groups of both internal and external participants (e.g., clients, customers, or the public). Secures appropriate location, equipment and services, considering costs and quality.                  
8. Recommends and plans a broad variety of meeting components (e.g., theme, agenda, activities, speaker selection, entertainment, menus). Considers cost and quality of site and service. This does not include committee work for occasional events.                  
9. Negotiates major contracts with hotels and other vendors for services provided during large meetings (over 100 attendees) and conferences.
